If reading was my first love, writing is absolutely my second.

When I was 10 years old I got a set of encyclopedias for Xmas and my brothers and sisters laughed, I couldn’t have been any happier. The following year someone gave me a second-hand typewriter and I hounded my mum for weeks to replace the ribbon so I could actually use the damn thing.

I produced my first book “One of 6” aged 12…and the rest is history.

Diaries, Journals, Essays…any excuse to get my thoughts on to paper. When I came into the world of blogging in 2010 I thought I had died and gone to heaven. Hundreds of blogs and 8 books later I still haven’t lost my love for getting my thoughts down for others to read.

In this blog you will find my views on the world, what I am up to in the world of life coaching, adventuring and motivational speaking and hopefully find some useful practical advice which will help you live a bigger more exciting life.

Enjoy.

PS. I love to get comments, likes and shares…it makes me feel like someone is actually out there, and I am not 8 years old again writing important stuff nobody ever reads.

But nobody will pay for THAT!!!!

People will pay for all kinda crap right? Like seriously, the things you see people making money from these days. If there is demand, then for sure someone will figure out a way of supplying...no matter how bonkers or banal. I once had the idea for an invention I...

Call me, maybe??

I used to have a real phobia of speaking on the phone. We didn't always have a house phone at home growing up, and we were not really allowed to use it when we did...in fact I remember having one of those one yous had to put money in...any one else have one of those?...

Finding the one

Throughout November & December, I have committed to writing a blog a day, sharing my thoughts on everything that's happening in my business and life as we spring towards the end of this decade. Yesterday alas I did not blog. I had a terrible migraine and instead lay...

BLACK FRIDAY DEALS YAY OR NAY????

Urgh what a day I've had....and yes I know it's not all about me. You see, I've been trying to write this blog post all day but I have felt blocked...I've changed the title numerous times, this morning I had to go for a walk to clear some of my issues of being...

The Power of Group Accountability

At the weekend a heap of women from my running business Too Fat to Run? braved the elements and ran 5K...nothing new about that you might think...it is a running business after all. But here's the thing. If they were not in my running group, its quite possible they...

Feedback is your friend

I ran a 24-hour flash sale last week that didn't get as much traction as I would have liked. In years gone by I would have hidden under a rock, cried into my blanket while watching terrible TV, or bitched about how life is just not fair. But now...I look for the...

Do you have a heap of Tyre Kickers around your business?

I'd never really heard this phrase before until recently. I guess I don't hang around used car dealerships enough to know where the original phrase comes from, but its that idea that some people who come into your showroom will never buy from you...they will just walk...

Sometimes it is about the numbers

"Bums on seats....it's all about the bums on seats....but not just any old bums on seats, they have to be the right bums on seats" I remember my boss saying this to me in one of my first jobs, as a theatre usher at The Theatre Royal Stratford East, tearing tickets as...
