If reading was my first love, writing is absolutely my second.

When I was 10 years old I got a set of encyclopedias for Xmas and my brothers and sisters laughed, I couldn’t have been any happier. The following year someone gave me a second-hand typewriter and I hounded my mum for weeks to replace the ribbon so I could actually use the damn thing.

I produced my first book “One of 6” aged 12…and the rest is history.

Diaries, Journals, Essays…any excuse to get my thoughts on to paper. When I came into the world of blogging in 2010 I thought I had died and gone to heaven. Hundreds of blogs and 8 books later I still haven’t lost my love for getting my thoughts down for others to read.

In this blog you will find my views on the world, what I am up to in the world of life coaching, adventuring and motivational speaking and hopefully find some useful practical advice which will help you live a bigger more exciting life.

Enjoy.

PS. I love to get comments, likes and shares…it makes me feel like someone is actually out there, and I am not 8 years old again writing important stuff nobody ever reads.

3 Reasons you will NEVER be everyone’s cup of tea

Remember when you was a kid and you desperately wanted to be everyones friend? Are you still like that now? Do you crave "being liked" or at the least "not being judged" I have struggled with this over the years. I like to think I don't care what people think of me...

What’s Your Thing? Flowers, Underwear or Things That Buzz?

We all have a thing don't we? Something which we are known for? Something which makes us stand out from all the other coaches, experts, speakers or entrepreneurs? No? Am I talking about a niche? Am I talking about a Gimmick? Am I talking about personal brand stuff?...

How do you get 100 old people dancing?

No this is not the start of a joke? Nor a question asked in a team meeting in a care home? This is the question my boss asked me when I unveiled a crazy plan I had back in 2010 when I came back from an old age pensioners community meeting which hadn't exactly gone to...

Why is asking for help so DAMN hard?

Have you ever looked at your work plan for the day and been so terrified of what it entails that you instead make a cup of tea, grab the peanut butter and oatcakes and lose yourself for the day on the sofa with Netflicks. Nope. Just me? Give me a blog to write, a...

If you want to run far…run together

It's not often I talk about my running on this website...normally I save that for my other business venture www.toofattorun.co.uk I am a runner. I have run hundreds of races all over the world. I write books about running. I have helped thousands of women across the...

Have you messed up 2019 already?

It's Monday the 14th, and I have flu. No REAL flu. That wonderful plan for my business I worked on at the back end of 2018 is busy collecting dust, and my plans for running every day in January are well and truly scuppered...and guess what? I'm kinda happy. Did I want...

10 Things still to do in 2018

Yes, there are 10 days left of this year and yes you probably just want to sit in front of the TV with a box of Roses and a glass of Port and wait until January 1st to even think about 2019...OK, OK January 2nd, cos come on nobody is fit for any kind of constructive...

Did I mention I was a coach?

So here's the deal. I always get super reflective this time of year, I start to review where I am now compared to where I was this time last year. This time last year I was busy finalising my new website www.juliecreffield.com It felt like a BIG thing. I had been...
