HELLO

I'M JULIE CREFFIELD

Business growth strategist, professional keynote speaker, creative genius, top 5% podcaster, project manager, running coach, influencer, business owner and mother

SO...

WHO AM I?

The million-dollar question hey?

We are never just one thing…in my view we should not be defined by our titles, our accolades, the things we have achieved. As business owners we often do multiple things, have a range of skills, talents and passions…and that’s OK.

Also, I don’t want to just show you the shiny bits, I want you to have a full 360 degree view. Because guess what? Just like you…I am 50% genius and 50% fuck up…I don’t always have all of my shit together, I mean that would make things boring wouldn’t it?

I guess the main thing you need to know is I am a business growth mentor who really gives a shit about you reaching your potential with your business…when you win, the world wins.

So now, tell me who are you?

SO...

WHO AM I?

The million-dollar question hey?

Yes I am a business legacy strategist, but I’m not sure that paints the whole picture.

I am a solo parent, I am a lapsed CrossFitter, I am an Ambassador for the Charity StreetChild, I am a sister to 5 siblings, I am a 6 times marathon runner, I am a 14 times author.

I am a lot…and you are too, and thats why building a business that is bespoke to you is so important.

What you probably want to know is can I REALLY support you and your business…and the answer to that if you are serious about growing a sustainable, no bullshit business that doesn’t burn you out?

A resounding YES!!!

So now, tell me who are you?

MY EARLY CAREER

HOW IT ALL BEGAN

I started my career in the arts back in the mid 90s working with hard to reach young people as an entusiastic community artist using drama, dance and film to explore the realities of local peoples lives.

When London 2012 came to my neck of the woods in East London, my skills were put to use helping to recruit and train the 70,000 games makers needed to support this global mega event…I then used those skills and new found passion for sport to set up my own global fitness movement…oh but not before being made redundant at 6 months pregnant.

Too Fat to Run was the business that propelled me into the spotlight while dealing with the realities of becoming a single mum. The blog has been read by more than 10 million globally, and I have been featured in the media in more than 50 countries.

Taking part in more than 200 endurance events around the world in my size 18 lycra-clad body taught me everything I needed to know about showing up for a purpose…let it all hang out I say.

I worked as a management consultant and trainer for a decade with some of the UK’s biggest cultural organisations and public sector bodies.

MY HEART

PERSONAL LIFE

Wow, where do I start?

My daughter Rose is my inspiration.

When I became a single mum and found myself unemployed I vowed to break the cycle of poverty women in my family being defined by relationship choices and the subsequent financial fall out from them.

I wanted to model what having financial autonomy looked like

Being able to make money from your talents and unique lived experiences, without the shame and embarrassment that many women feel about wanting more

Rose has been there every step of the way and is a YouTuber and mini-celebrity in her own right. So watch out world.

PERSONAL LIFE

Wow, where do I start?

My daughter Rose is my inspiration.

When I became a single mum back in 2014, finding myself unemployed after being made redundant from my job on London 2012 I vowed to never let a bloke in a suit define mine or my daughters future.

I wanted to model what having financial autonomy looked like, and explore how I could build a business on my terms. I wanted a life filled with creativity and adventure.

Being able to make money from your talents and unique lived experiences, without the shame and embarrassment that many women feel about wanting more is incredibly empowering.

Rose has been there every step of the way, is an aspiring entrepreneur, YouTuber and mini-celebrity in her own right.

After 45 years of living in East London, Rose, our ginger cat Tom and I have made the bold move out to the countryside of Hertfordshire, where we are both adapting to village life.

HELPING YOU GROW

WHAT I DO BEST

I do a lot of things well, I am a Jill of all trades…but the thing that is my absolute zone of genius is activating people to reach their potential. It’s what I have done for the last two and a half decades.

My top 5 strengths are

  • Ideation…I am a genius at concepts, names and creative branding
  • Activation…I get people taking action on the things that matter
  • Futurist...I predict trends and help folk to future proof their ventures
  • Influence...I have a great understanding of how to WOO (win people over)
  • Significance…I am all about making a BIG IMPACT, by focussing on the stuff that REALLY matters.

Ultimately, I help people to see who they are, help them map out their business goals and desires, and then get them taking inspired steps towards achieving them.

ME KNOWLEDGE & EDUCATION

WHAT QUALIFIES ME TO DO THIS WORK?

Firstly my 20+ years of hands-on experience of designing, delivering and scaling transformational programmes but then there are my professional qualifications and continued professional development too

I have a first-class degree with honours in Performing Arts, wherein my final year I created a community dance company and wrote my dissertation on the power of hybrid cultures coming together to explore identity

I then went on to do my masters in multimedia design and cultures at the University of East London, interested in how technology could bring people together who are otherwise underrepresented

I trained further in leadership, community development, transformational coaching, and have invested more than £100K in coaching, and online training on various marketing and business growth strategies.

I am a fellow of the professional speakers association, and a professional member of the association of business mentors
